IN JUST ONE LOOK, A NOVICE BOATER WILL NOTICE THE HULL LINES ARE NOTHING LESS THAN A CHAMPION HULL DESIGN.
A BOATER WITH A FEW YEARS OF OFFSHORE RACING WILL BE AMAZED WITH HOW WELL THE BOAT HANDLES AND WILL BE PUZZLED WITH HOW IT IS ACHIEVED. DURING THE DESIGN PHASE OF THE F-3, WE TOOK ALL OF THE PROS OF THE PERFORMANCE CATAMARANS AND ADDED A FEW THINGS TO MAKE IT MORE FRIENDLY FOR NEW BOATERS.
CENTER-POD DESIGN: THIS ALLOWS THE BOAT TO BANK INTO TURNS UNLIKE THE RACING CATS. IT ALSO GIVES THE DRIVER A SENSATIONAL "SAFE" FEELING THAT DURING THE TURN EVERYTHING IS THE WAY IT OUGHT TO FEEL. THE CENTER-POD OF THE F-3 ALSO CONTRIBUTES TO THE MOTORS SENSATIONAL PERFORMANCE DURING THE TURN BY NOT ALLOWING IT TO CAVITATE.
THE FOIL SYSTEM AND HULL SHAPES: YES, EVERY BOAT IS EQUIPPED WITH A FOIL SYSTEM. THIS IS WITH THE STARTING RACER IN MIND. AS WITH ANY CAT, THE MORE THE TRIM, THE MORE AIR UNDER THE TUNNEL AND THE FASTER YOU GO. BUT FINDING THE FINE LINE CAN BE DIFFICULT AND AS CAN BE SEEN IN THE RACES, A LITTLE OVER. WITH THE FOIL SYSTEM, THE WINGS EXERT ADDITIONAL FORCE TO PREVENT THE BOAT FROM BEING OVER TRIMMED. THE ANGLE OF THE FOIL AND ITS SHAPE TOOK THE DESIGN TEAM WELL OVER A YEAR TO FINESS. WE HAVE A BOAT THAT HAS AMAZING PERFORMANCE AND IS SAFE.
